Westleigh Developments Ltd is celebrating after being crowned "Business of the Year" at the 2008 Leicestershire Business Awards on Friday (18th April).
The company also won the Success Through People category at a glittering ceremony held at De Montfort Hall in Leicester. The duo completes a hat trick of recent awards for the firm after a Westleigh development was awarded Commercial Project of the Year in the Builder and Engineer Awards 2007 at the end of last year.
The Leicestershire Business Awards is an annual competition, run in conjunction with Business Link and celebrates the achievements of local businesses across eight categories.
Chris Beighton said, "are absolutely thrilled to have been named Business of the Year 2008 in this prestigious competition which is highly regarded within the region's business community. This year has been an extremely positive one for us so far; we began award winners in the Builder and Engineer competition and have recently beat off competition from other developers for a significant amount of Housing Corporation funding, so this really is a key moment for the company!
